Teaching Staff
In 2007 I combined my work at the University with my work at Interlingua. I’ve been working here now for 3 years and I find it very interesting. I’m so happy to teach kids, teenagers and adults! This year I took the Cambridge TKT exam! And my result is 4:3:3. Now I’m keen on studying very much, and I hope you do, too. I’m married, have got a four year old daughter, who is going to attend Interlingua School this year. My hobbies are: taking pictures and knitting. I’d like to travel more to see countries and people. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
I graduated from Belgorod State University in 1999 and from Belgorod State Technological Academy in 2003. So, I can be both a teacher and an economist. I’ve never worked as an economist though. I hope that my career is teaching. I have been teaching since 1999 and I have experience in teaching teenagers and young learners. I’m glad to work with my students and help them to understand that studying English is a very interesting and easy process. To provide a high standard of teaching I must learn too. So, I’ve attended a special course for teachers at Interlingua in 2007 and the Oxford Professional Teacher Development Programme on Vocational English in 2008. In 2009 I took the Teaching Knowledge Test of University of Cambridge. My hobby is studying Spanish, reading interesting books and spending time with my son. I’d like to travel more, see the world and especially English and Spanish speaking countries. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Svetlana Sokerchak My name is Svetlana. I’m from Belgorod, Russia. I’m very excited to share my job and life experience with my colleagues and students all over the world! I graduated from Belgorod State University (Department of Romano-Germanic Philology) where I obtained a degree in teaching and philological studies. Being a student I had some practice of teaching in primary and secondary schools. From the very first lessons I understood what a pleasure it is to work with children, to see their interest, to listen to and speak to them, to support children in everything and share their pride in their success with them. Later I was offered a teaching position at the English Department at Belgorod State University where I worked for a year. I am presently an English teacher at Interlingua school of foreign languages. I'm very happy I have a chance to work at this school, because our main goal is the success of our students. We actively cooperate to reach this goal and provide our students with high-quality education in an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. I have an experience in teaching adults and teenagers of different ages and levels. To improve my professional skills, I’ve attended a number of teaching seminars, given by my colleagues from England, Hungary, the USA. I also took the TKT (Teacher Knowledge Test), which is one of the Cambridge exams for teachers. I have made many good friends here among my colleagues and students. I’m a very positive and enthusiastic person, eager to develop both professionally and as a person. I enjoy reading, I love summer days, the sun and sea, and adore spending my free time with family and friends. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Yulia Usenko But actually I think that teaching English is mainly about conveying information to students in an interesting way and communicating love and passion for the English language and culture. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
Olga Vasilchenko My name is Olga. I'm very happy to share my everyday life with you. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
My name is Olga Vorotnikova. I live in Belgorod. I graduated from Belgorod State University (Department of Romano-Germanic Philology) in 2004.After graduation I got a job of a teacher of English at Belgorod State University of Culture. I think it was good experience for me not only to practice teaching but also an opportunity to enjoy myself in the atmosphere of music, dancing and art. In 2004 I started to work at Belgorod State University, Business English Department. First, it’s nice that you can interac with young people- full of ambitions and plans. Second, it’s really important to improve your qualification. That’s why in 2005 I attended teacher-training courses by J. Harrington there and got a certificate. Now my second job is at Interlingua School. I’m glad I can have a chance to work for this educational establishment. I teach adults and teenagers of different levels. Once I also used to be a student of this school and was impressed by an interesting teaching approach which makes people communicate, think and feel easy. Now I’m happy to try my hand and naturally I’m going to gain more and more experience. When I have free time I like to spend it with my family, walking or visiting interesting places. I also enjoy learning Italian and I hope some day I’ll start Spanish. ________________________________________________________________________________________________

I like different kinds of teaching, meaning both groups and individual students, different ages - I work with kids (6-10), teens, young adults and adults – and different levels. The youngest student I ‘ve had was 3,5 years old and the oldest - 54! It’s so exciting to try to be different in different occasions – from being a clown for kiddies to a sophisticated young lady to try to sound attractive to adults (which in fact turned to be much more challenging for me)! I’ve worked with different courses as well – Zabadoo and Zap (for little kids), Pacesetter, Headway, Clockwise, English for Life etc. I love using new materials and methods of teaching, keen on trying new courses and generally enthusiastic to any changes in my work. I want to go forward all the time! By the way in the nearest future I hope to try teaching a new course (Teddy’s train) to a new age group for me – 4-year-olds! They are so cute!!!
From time to time I love having a break from the everyday routine and get some experience outside the school – I attended seminars on interpreting and teaching young learners in
About my goals and aims I can say that one day I want to try a new position at school. I’d like not only to teach but also to manage the teaching process from outside the classroom. I’ve had some experience of being a senior teacher at a primary English school and felt very enthusiastic about that. I want to continue working with little kids and get more and more experience in that. To my mind it’s a very special age group, demanding a lot of energy and commitment and at the same time the most lovable, grateful and pleasant one to work with. ____________________________________________________________________________________________
My name is Ray M. K. Atitsogbui. I came from Ghana
My teaching career started in 2001 in one of the secondary schools in Belgorod where I taught from the 5th up to the 10th year schoolchildren. I believe that an integrated and friendly approach together with effective and enthusiastic working relationships between the teacher and the student are crucial in achieving responsive student attitude, creating a successful learning environment and meeting all the students’ needs. Both as a practicing teacher and a DOS I consider the quality of educational delivery to be my highest ambition. That is why our common agreed commitment and main teaching goal in our school is that EVERY student matters. Achieving this goal is what all of our efforts go into. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
